Anastasia Dunets was born in Leningrad, 1970. In 1980 she was admitted to Leningrad Vaganova ballet school, but before that she already had good choreographic training (Nastia danced in children group from 5 years old).

Anastasia started her training guiding by N. Dudinskaya and K. Sergeev. They are both very famous dancers in the past and all their experience they presented to students. Anastasia was lucky to be student of so distinguished teachers.

Creative alliance of N. Dudinskaya and K. Sergeev gave a good chance to realize creative potential of beginner ballet dancer.

Anastasia danced main parts, prepared together with Dudinskaya in concerts, dedicated to 250 years anniversary of Vaganova Choreographic school in 1988. It was the part of «Summer» in the ballet of K. Sergev "Seasons", pas de deux from the ballet "Sleeping beauty", "Venetian carnival", Grand Pa from the ballet "Paquita". Anastasia acted in the film "About Vaganova ballet school", "About N. Dudinskaya", in the film-ballet "Carnival".

Being the student, Anastasia prepared and danced at Mariinsky theatre part of Masha in the ballet «Nutcracker». Already that time critics appreciated her exalted performance, academic dancing and high technique.

After final examination in the School Anastasia participated in the Vaganova International competition of ballet dancers and took the second place. In September 1988 Anastasia joined the ballet group of Mariinsky theatre. She prepared her parts together with O. Moiseeva and G. Kekisheva, both are very famous ballet dancers in the past. Together with the group of Mariinsky theatre Anastasia was in tour around the USA, Canada, Japan, Korea, Mexico and other countries.

At the theatre Anastasia worked with ballet-master O. Vinogradov, in 1993 she acted in his film "Coppelia", in 1994 she played part of Sister in new ballet "Cinderella". First performance of this ballet was in Japan. In the part of Sister she showed herself as a talented comedy actress.

In May 1997 Anastasia has got the invitation from the German National Berlin Opera. She danced there until 2000.This period of time was full of premiers and productive creative work with new choreographs (Bart, Lacott, Sholts, Bolduin and others).

From August 2000 Anastasia has been dancing in the Finish National Opera. She came here by invitation of famous choreograph and director of this theatre Mr.Uottinen.Here she danced for the first time role of Gamzatti in ballet of N.Makarova «LaBayadere» as well as she took part as soloist in many other interesting performances.

Season 2002-2003 for Anastasia Dunets was very interesting season. She danced solo roles in the 'Cinderella' by Ben Stevenson, in the first-night of 'Nutcracker' by Weign Egling, in the 'Giselle' by Sylvi Guillem, and in the first-night of 'Raymonda' (This new choreography created by Anna-Marie Holmes and Kevin McKenzie for the Finnish National Ballet staged in unique collaboration with the American Ballet Theatre. One year after its premiere in Finland, it was re-premiered in New York by the American Ballet Theatre), and other. Specially new very difficult role of Raymonda brought big success to Anastasia.
